Prophetic Word For 2024: Oneness

"Now I plead with you, brethren, by the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that you all speak the same thing, and [that] there be no divisions among you, but [that] you be perfectly joined together in the same mind and in the same judgment."

1 Corinthians 1:10

God is calling us to stick together. Fight together. Learn together and listen to each other.

One Team

In a recent dream from the Lord, I was in the role of a watchman, I was watching, and I saw well-known retired Boston Celtics basketball player Bill Walton. And he seemed like he was a coach, but I soon realized while he was behaving like a head coach, he was actually one of the players! This was a scene reminiscent of the past. Walton was much younger than he is now, and he was in his playing prime. They were all in the locker room.

That's when Walton said to one of his teammates, “We just can't act this way.”

He was admonishing his teammate for something they did that Walton saw was not characteristic of the team's standards.

He sat down with the young player, still wearing his Boston Celtics shooting shirt, and he began to draw on the whiteboard in the locker room. And he began to teach the young man.

He spoke in a soft voice and started to show the player something he didn’t know. He was mentoring the young man.

Team Success

The Celtics were the most successful team in NBA history.

This dynamic of player--coach certainly assisted in the team’s success. They held each other accountable. They served a greater purpose.

They submitted to the “Celtic Way” of doing things, and they all sought to stay on the same page.

Mentoring was an accepted part of developing the winning formula.

All for one and one for all.

They stuck together. They fought together. They learned together. They listened to each other.

As we enter deeper into the presidential election cycle, we will be pulled in many directions, but one of those directions will be toward division and in-fighting. We can not afford this to happen again. We are stronger together as a team. One Lord, one faith, one baptism.

We can't afford to imitate the culture around us. We must impact and change it.

God bless you,
